Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a department of Design and Systems Maintenance Engineers at Kennedy Space Center, overseeing critical aerospace assets and mission support. You will manage propellants, cryogenics, and life support systems, directing multiple teams to ensure availability and performance for NASA and launch providers.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with extensive experience, including management, and may require clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and 8+ years of related experience; or equivalent with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills; proficient in project management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a department of Design and Systems Maintenance Engineers.
• Oversee project management activities and risk-based prioritization for maintenance, replacement or acquisition of S&E assets.
• Direct configuration control of aerospace assets and systems.
• Supervise Fluids Management and Engineering for propellant scheduling and long-term forecasting.
• Lead the Design Engineering group for new propellant and life support systems.
• Oversee S&E Operation and Maintenance Engineering for field support of critical assets.
• Recruit, hire, and evaluate department personnel and manage salary adjustments.
