Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Wire Harness Design Engineer to own the end-to-end development of wire harness systems for satellites and aerospace platforms. You will define specifications, develop schematics, route cables, select connectors, and generate harness assembly drawings in a highly collaborative environment with EE, ME, and harness technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5 years of relevant industry or university research experience.
• Proficiency with harness design tools such as RapidHarness.
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, wire routing and EMC considerations.
• Ability to analyze and test wire harness designs to meet standards and performance requirements.
• Knowledge of IPC-WHMA-A-620 and ISO 9001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Own wire harness designs from initial specifications to integration and test.
• Develop schematics and perform cable routing and harness assembly drawings.
• Select connectors and oversee harness assembly processes.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical engineers and technicians to deliver space-grade systems.
