Job summary

EVONA is seeking an Environmental Test Engineer focused on spacecraft vibration in Midland, Texas. You will lead sine vibration test campaigns, define base input levels, and act as Test Director with lab personnel to assure safe, timely execution and thorough documentation.

Requirements include 6+ years of swept sine vibration experience on spacecraft structures, strong MATLAB and data acquisition skills, knowledge of SDOF dynamics and notching techniques, and familiarity with Nastran is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 6+ years of hands-on swept sine vibration testing of spacecraft structures.
• Strong MATLAB, MS Excel, and data acquisition systems knowledge.
• Solid understanding of SDOF dynamics and closed-form techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead Test Execution: Author sine vibration test plans, define base input levels, and act as Test Director during testing with lab personnel.
• Force & Response Limiting: Implement notching techniques to protect flight hardware.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with multidisciplinary engineering teams during spacecraft integration and prepare for Test Readiness Reviews.
• Reporting & Reviews: Prepare tailored test summaries for launch vehicle integration and participate in Failure Review Boards, driving process improvements.
