Job summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks a Structural Dynamics Engineer based in Midland, TX, to lead swept sine vibration testing for spacecraft. Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in swept sine vibration of spacecraft.
• Experience with test planning and instrumentation selection.
• Experience with test readiness and data validation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Determine sine vibration base input levels and author sine vibration test plans.
• Serve as Test Director for sine vibration testing with lab personnel.
• Prepare for test readiness by coordinating across disciplines during spacecraft integration.
• Report on testing and prepare launch vehicle tailored summaries.
• Lead continuous process improvement and compile lessons learned.
