Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Senior Dynamic Stress Analysis Engineer to own the structural dynamics analysis and verification across spacecraft propulsion hardware. This is an analysis-led role focused on transient shock, SRS, vibration and FEA-based stress analysis; collaboration with design, manufacturing and testing teams is essential.

Candidates should have 5+ years in structural/stress analysis, a Mechanical or Aerospace degree, and hands-on experience with NASTRAN/FEMAP.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant structural/stress analysis experience.
• Strong background in FEA and structural mechanics.
• Hands-on experience with structural dynamics and dynamic stress analysis.
• Experience analysing shock and vibration environments.
• Experience with transient dynamic shock analysis and SRS.
• Experience with NASTRAN/FEMAP or comparable FEA tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural dynamics and dynamic stress analysis of spacecraft flight hardware.
• Perform transient shock, random vibration and modal analysis.
• Use FEA to predict structural response and assess hardware survivability against shock/SRS and vibration environments.
• Develop and maintain detailed finite element models of components and assemblies.
• Calculate structural margins and support qualification and verification of flight hardware.
• Correlate analytical predictions against dynamic test data.
• Support shock and vibration qualification testing from an analysis perspective.
• Translate customer and mission environments into structural analysis and verification requirements.
• Work closely with mechanical design, manufacturing, test and program teams.
• Present analysis, methodology and technical results through design reviews and engineering reports.
