Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Dulles, VA seeks a senior Mechanical Structures Engineer to perform mechanical, systems, and design engineering on spacecraft structures and subsystems. The role follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

The position requires a Bachelor's with 12 years or a Master's with 10 years of experience, US citizenship, and on-site work at the Dulles/Colshire campus. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience or Master's with 10 years.
• Ability to work on-site at Dulles/Colshire campus.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain government clearance.
• Experience with CAD software, preferably CREO.

Responsibilities

• Work on Spacecraft Structures, Payload, and Antenna mechanical hardware from requirements through integration and test.
• Develop designs using CAD and other tools for manufacturing and assembly.
• Interface with customers, program and functional management, other disciplines, and suppliers.
• Develop test plans and support structure testing at component and spacecraft levels.
• Provide technical solutions to difficult problems with general supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
