Rocket Lab, based at Long Beach, CA, seeks a Senior Spacecraft Structural Analysis Engineer I to shape analysis, validate designs, and drive improvements across Space Systems. You will define loads, run simulations, and work with the Vehicle Design Director to ensure robust structural margins while collaborating with design and test teams.

Required: Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in aerospace, and active TS/SCI clearance; US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• 5+ years of aerospace engineering experience.
• Experience with spacecraft-level structural test campaigns and data processing.
• Knowledge of NX Nastran, NX CAD, and Teamcenter.
• Ability to define loads, perform simulations, and validate designs.

Responsibilities

• Define loads and environments for tests and flight data analysis.
• Perform structural analyses and FEA model verification.
• Run static, modal, random vibration, buckling, and thermoelastic simulations.
• Collaborate with design and test engineers to iterate concepts.
• Lead technical projects within analysis and across teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
