Job summary

Terran Orbital is seeking a Sr. Structural Analysis Engineer to support spacecraft structures from concept through verification. Reporting to the Structural Engineering Manager, you will develop finite element models, run static/dynamic analyses, and coordinate testing with vendors and test houses.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace structural analysis, experience with Nastran/Patran, and a U.S. security clearance. Irvine, CA-based, with a strong focus on mission-critical satellite programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct industry experience performing structural analyses.
• Experience with Nastran and Patran.
• Experience with vibration and shock testing of aerospace equipment and familiarity with standards.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Identify structural design constraints and mitigation strategies across concept development to launch.
• Develop finite element models and perform static, dynamic, buckling, thermal analyses.
• Support mechanical test projects and coordinate with test houses.
• Create test plans and reports for vibration, shock, and endurance testing.
• Interface with vendors and support testing requirements and logistics.
