Rocket Lab USA in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Spacecraft Structural Analysis Engineer I with TS/SCI clearance. You will define loads, run detailed simulations, and guide design validation for Space Systems and Space Components.

Collaboration with design and test teams is key to ensuring structural margins. The role requires 5+ years in aerospace, familiarity with NX Nastran/NX CAD/Teamcenter, and spacecraft-level test campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
• 5+ years of aerospace engineering experience.
• Experience with spacecraft-level structural test design, execution, data processing and validation.

Responsibilities

• Define, process and interpret ground and flight test data for structural analysis.
• Perform structural analyses of primary and secondary vehicle structures.
• Conduct static, modal, random vibration, buckling and thermoelastic simulations.
• Collaborate with design and test engineers to iterate concepts and tests.
• Define test requirements and support subsystem/component testing.
• Lead technical projects within analysis and across teams.
• Help implement new theories and tools and establish best practices.
