Job summary

True Anomaly seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design electrical system architectures for next-generation space vehicles, defining system-level architectures and performing reliability analysis for power, data, and control across spacecraft.

You will translate mission requirements into robust electrical solutions, develop schematics, perform worst-case analyses, and support hardware bring-up and testing in a hands-on lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of professional experience in electrical system design.
• Experience with system-level reliability analysis (FMEA, fault tree analysis).
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium/OrCAD/EAGLE).
• Experience with lab debugging and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical system architectures and block diagrams for spacecraft avionics.
• Create and maintain system-level diagrams and architecture documentation.
• Perform FMEA and drive design improvements.
• Review components and COTS for mission requirements and reliability.
• Develop interface requirements for avionics components and perform power budget analyses.
• Design avionics hardware including power conditioning units and controller boards.
• Create detailed schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
• Support integration, testing, and design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
