Job summary

True Anomaly is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical architectures for next-generation space vehicles. You will define system-level architectures, perform reliability analyses, and ensure power, data, and control systems meet performance and mass constraints for spaceflight.

You will collaborate across hardware, firmware, and test teams, create schematics and documentation, lead FMEA activities, and guide component selection from concept to qualification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years in electrical design for aerospace or high-reliability applications.
• Strong fundamentals in circuit design and system-level architecture.
• Experience with FMEA, fault analysis, and reliability methods.
• Proficiency in CAD tools for schematics and PCB layouts.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical system architectures and block diagrams for spacecraft avionics.
• Create and maintain system-level diagrams and architecture documentation.
• Perform FMEA to identify risks and drive design improvements.
• Evaluate components for mission reliability and environmental specs.
• Plan and qualify components considering radiation, temperature, and derating.
• Develop interface requirements for avionics and sensors.
• Perform power budgets, voltage drop, fault analysis and load flow studies.
• Design hardware such as power conditioning units and data boards.
• Create schematics, BOMs, and design docs using CAD tools.
• Lead design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and document verification status.
