Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, seeks a Director of Avionics Engineering to lead the hardware engineering team. You will drive technical direction, budgets, and schedules for spacecraft avionics, working with other engineering leaders to ensure customer expectations are surpassed.

Responsibilities include coordinating risk with program management, scaling designs for manufacturability, and guiding manufacturing and quality teams.

Qualifications

• 14+ years in aerospace engineering with program or functional management.
• 4+ years as a functional manager.
• Experience as/with project lead or functional manager on spacecraft development.
• Knowledge of satellite systems and components.
• Hardware design and analysis for spacecraft avionics.
• Experience with Electrical Ground Support Equipment or Test Equipment.
• Electrical Power Systems, RF, Command & Data Handling, radiation and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead the hardware engineering team to deliver work products, schedules, and budgets.
• Set technical direction and standards for engineering projects.
• Coordinate risk management and cross-team collaboration for manufacturability.
• Oversee program execution, staffing plans, and performance metrics.
• Mentor front-line managers and sponsor cross-team innovation.
