Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Spacecraft Avionics Systems Lead to own avionics architecture, requirements flow-down, and interfaces for lunar landers and orbital vehicles. You will lead a team across hardware, firmware, and software, guiding trade studies and verification planning.

You will collaborate with GNC, thermal, propulsion, and ground systems, balancing technical excellence with tight schedules in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
• 8+ years in spacecraft/on-orbit avionics or closely related roles.
• Experience defining architectures, requirements, and interfaces for spacecraft.
• Ability to lead engineers and drive technical consensus.

Aufgaben

• Define and own the spacecraft avionics architecture and trade studies.
• Mentor and guide hardware, firmware, and software teams; lead design reviews.
• Lead requirements, interfaces, verification planning, and anomaly resolution.
• Ensure integration with GNC, structures, thermal, propulsion, and ground systems.
• Establish processes for requirements management and configuration control.
