Firefly Aerospace seeks a seasoned Electrical Engineering Chief Engineer to lead design, development, integration, and verification of spaceborne electrical and avionics systems. You will define requirements, guide multidisciplinary teams, and ensure design integrity across lifecycle stages to deliver flight-qualified hardware.

As technical authority, you will oversee R&D into new technologies, prototype designs, and firmware as needed, coordinating with leadership to meet mission and business

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 15+ years of progressive electrical/avionics experience on aerospace systems.
• Experience as technical authority or chief/lead engineer on flight hardware programs.
• Strong depth in power systems, avionics, harnessing and related disciplines.

Aufgaben

• Own electrical baseline and architectural direction across hardware, firmware, harnessing, and vehicle systems.
• Define spacecraft and launch vehicle electrical architectures (power, data handling, interfaces).
• Lead design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, FRR) and risk assessments.
• Drive a modular architecture approach for reuse across platforms.
• Provide guidance to teams and approve key design artifacts and test plans.
• Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Software, RF, GNC, and Mission Assurance teams.
