Job summary

Blue Canyon Technologies in Boulder, CO is hiring a Senior Technician to assemble electrical and mechanical components for space flight use. This full-time role reports to engineering and supports development, testing, and operation of small spacecraft.

You will read and execute work instructions, mentor junior technicians, and help create build instructions while collaborating to improve efficiency. Strong precision, GD&T, and experience with metrology tools are required.

Qualifications

• Read, understand, and execute work instructions to build precise electrical/mechanical assemblies.
• Familiar with metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, multimeters, etc.).
• Applied knowledge of GD&T (ANSI/ASME Y14.5).
• Mentor junior technicians and assist in trainings.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and execute work instructions to build advanced and precise electrical/mechanical assemblies.
• Collaborate and aid in the development of work instructions with the engineering team.
• Increase efficiency by aligning builds with engineering intent and recommending improvements.
• Troubleshoot non-conforming issues to find efficient resolutions.
• Maintain build documentation including non-conformance reports and time logs.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist in team development.
