Job summary

Blue Canyon Technologies in Boulder, CO seeks a Senior Technician to assemble electrical and mechanical components for space flight. The role is full-time with pay between $34.00 and $42.00 per hour, depending on education, experience, and market data.

Qualifications

• 7 years related aerospace production experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience performing precision electrical/mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and work to engineering documentation.
• Familiarity with tools and techniques used for precision manufacturing and assembly.
• Experience using SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Fusion 360.
• Excellent manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts.
• Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and execute work instructions to build advanced and precise electrical/mechanical assemblies.
• Collaborate and aid in the development of work instructions with the engineering team.
• Increase efficiency of builds by understanding the engineering intent of the final product and recommending improvements.
• Troubleshoot non-conforming issues to find the most efficient path forward.
• Take ownership and maintain build documentation for assemblies, including non-conformance reports.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist in team trainings.
• Be willing to cross-train in multiple areas of specialty.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
