Job summary

KBR, a leader in national security engineering, seeks a Senior Test and Evaluation Engineer to support STARCOM test squadrons at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. You’ll plan, execute, and analyze space systems tests across multiple phases, applying modeling, simulations, and live-fire testing expertise.

Required are a TS/SCI clearance and 10+ years of DoD/test engineering experience, with strong skills in test design, data analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science with 10+ years of DoD/test engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of test, evaluation and experimentation across space programs.
• Experience with modeling & simulation, DOE and data analysis methodologies.
• Familiarity with major DoD acquisition programs in Space Force context.
• Ability to break complex systems into testable elements and define objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of space systems tests and experiments.
• Design, develop, and execute advanced test programs to assess space systems.
• Apply design of experiments to increase test efficiency and derive actionable results.
• Create and review test engineering documentation including test plans and safety reviews.
• Perform analysis on pre-test predictions using M&S and HWIL to design events.
• Review systems for data DMAP alignment and data collection for real-time processing.
• Set up data analysis requests, perform data quality checks, and resolve anomalies.
• Run simulations to evaluate system effectiveness under operational conditions.
• Monitor M&S data gathering and guide test result evaluation against specs.
• Create test reports/presentations and enhance data analysis tools.
