Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a Systems Engineer III, Test Engineering to verify and validate complex systems, develop test plans, analyze data, and ensure quality and reliability across our aerospace programs.

You will design and build test facilities, automate tests, collaborate with design and systems engineers, and present test reports to customers. Travel may be required as needed to support test activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in a test engineering or systems engineering role.
• Experience developing and executing test plans and procedures.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles including requirements analysis, verification, and validation.
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools (LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for system-level verification and validation.
• Design, build, and maintain test facilities, equipment, and software.
• Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes of failures.
• Collaborate with design and systems engineers to ensure verifiable requirements and complete test coverage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing.
• Prepare and present test reports to internal and external customers.
• Automate test procedures to improve efficiency and repeatability.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve testability.
