Job summary

Delta Solutions & Strategies seeks a Senior Aerospace Engineer to support SSC Space Sensing activities at Buckley Space Force Base, Colorado. You will lead systems engineering across life cycle elements including mission integration, spacecraft, payload, ground systems, and launch readiness.

The role demands experience with complex government and contractor teams, strong written and oral communication, and the ability to operate on-site in Colorado with potential CONUS/OCONUS travel.

Qualifications

• Professional experience commensurate with a Senior-level role in aerospace/space systems engineering.
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes across requirements, design, integration, verification, test, and sustainment.
• Experience reviewing complex technical documentation and translating findings into clear recommendations.
• Ability to assess technical, schedule, interfaces, and mission risks and communicate impacts to Government stakeholders.
• Strong research, analytical, technical writing, editing, and briefing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with military, civilian, FFRDC, and contractor personnel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for technical reports and briefings.
• Security Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI access/eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical or analytical tasks, integrate inputs across multiple stakeholders, and provide actionable recommendations to Government leads.
• Review work products, help resolve complex issues, and mentor less-experienced team members.
• Apply systems engineering methods across concept development, requirements definition, design, integration, verification, test, launch, operations, and sustainment.
• Review technical requirements, SPs, IMS schedules, interface documents, test documentation, and other acquisition products for completeness.
• Track technical performance, requirements verification, interfaces, schedule, risk, and mission readiness; identify issues for Government attention.
• Support spacecraft, payload, launch vehicle, ground system, and mission-partner integration activities.
• Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, readiness reviews, IPTs, and working groups.
• Conduct or support trade studies, mission planning analyses, design concepts, test planning, and technical assessments.
• Support configuration and data management, mission assurance, system safety, and launch readiness.
• Develop technical assessments, reports, briefings, white papers, and action-item tracking for Government review.
