Delta Solutions & Strategies seeks a Senior Aerospace Engineer to support United States Space Force Space Systems Command, Space Sensing at Buckley Space Force Base, Colorado. You will lead systems engineering, mission integration, and test readiness across the acquisition lifecycle.

The role requires strong writing and briefing skills, experience with space systems, and the ability to coordinate across Government and contractor teams.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in aerospace or systems engineering.
• Experience in space systems or mission integration.
• Knowledge of systems engineering across requirements to sustainment.
• Ability to review complex technical docs and translate findings.
• Ability to assess risks and communicate impacts to government stakeholders.
• Strong research, analytical, writing, editing, and briefing skills.
• Ability to work independently and with military, civilian, FFRDC, and contractor teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reports and schedules.
• Must be able to work on site at Buckley Space Force Base and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical tasks, integrate inputs across stakeholders, and provide actionable recommendations to Government leads.
• Review work products, resolve issues, and mentor less-experienced team members.
• Apply systems engineering methods across concept development, requirements definition, design, integration, verification, test, launch, and sustainment.
• Review technical requirements, SPs, IMPs and Schedules, interface documents, test docs, and other acquisition products for completeness.
• Track technical performance, requirements verification, interfaces, schedule, risk, and readiness.
• Support spacecraft, payload, launch vehicle, ground system, and mission-partner integration activities.
• Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, readiness reviews, IPTs, and other program reviews.
• Conduct or support trade studies, mission planning analyses, concept development, test planning, and assessments.
• Support configuration and data management, mission assurance, system safety, launch readiness, and operational transition.
• Develop technical assessments, reports, briefings, white papers, and meeting products for Government review.
