Job summary

Trident Systems invites applications for a Principal Systems Engineer to lead diverse engineering teams on space-grade RF, processing, networking, and data storage units. You will guide systems analysis, verification, and validation while collaborating with program managers and customers.

The role requires deep systems engineering expertise, breadth across mechanical, electrical, software, and firmware disciplines, and a track record of delivering complex hardware from concept through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years with a bachelor’s, or 10+ years with a master’s.
• Experience leading development and delivery of complex spaceflight hardware.
• Proficient in systems engineering methodology for product design and development.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Technically lead a diverse engineering team in development of RF, processing, networking, and data storage units for space applications.
• Own the systems engineering process on the program and ensure proper analysis and requirements verification.
• Act as the program technical champion and POC for the project.
• Prepare for and present at major design reviews with customers and internal teams.
• Support planning for IR&D and new product initiatives.
• Support travel to Fairfax, VA corporate headquarters up to 25%.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
