Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior Member of Technical Staff in Systems Architecture to drive architecture studies and MBSE initiatives across a broad range of space systems. The role requires cross-functional leadership, strong modeling capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex analyses to stakeholders.

The position follows an in-person work model with at least four onsite days weekly at a Aerospace campus (Chantilly, VA; Colorado Springs, CO; or El Segundo, CA).

Qualifications

• PhD in engineering, science, or related field (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
• Experience in system/enterprise architecting, systems engineering, or model-based systems engineering.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to brief complex results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in architecture studies with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop and apply architecture methods, processes, and tools across architecture-level analysis.
• Evaluate designs for cost, schedule, performance, risk, and resilience; support MBSE/DE efforts.
• Mentor junior staff and communicate results in reports and briefings.
• Collaborate across disciplines to enable concurrent engineering approaches.
