Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA, is seeking a Senior Member of the Technical Staff to lead and participate in architecture studies and to mentor junior staff. You’ll define system capabilities, interfaces, and requirements for space and inter-segment architectures to address user needs.

A BS with 3–5 years' experience or an MS with 2+ years, plus space/defense domain experience and strong communication, are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering, science, or related field with 3–5 years of industry experience.
• M.S. in engineering, science, or related field with at least 2 years of industry experience.
• Experience in space, intelligence, and/or defense domains.
• Proficiency in system/enterprise architecting, systems engineering, concept design, and model-based systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in architecture studies with multi-disciplinary teams, mentoring junior staff.
• Elicit needs, requirements, and constraints for studies and communicate results in briefings and technical reports.
• Define system capabilities and interfaces for space and inter-segment architectures to meet user needs.
