Job summary

Vast is seeking a Senior Manager, Demand Planning in Long Beach to lead the global demand planning organization for next-generation space systems. This role integrates engineering requirements with material plans across procurement, inventory, and manufacturing, ensuring readiness for multiple programs.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in demand or production planning and 3+ years of leadership in a hardware environment, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• 8+ years in demand planning, material planning, or production planning.
• 3+ years leading teams in a complex hardware/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the Demand Planning organization with clear scope and goals.
• Define and own demand planning and sparing strategy across development and production programs.
• Translate engineering and program requirements into executable planning signals across procurement, inventory, and manufacturing.
• Establish planning rhythms and KPIs for visibility into material readiness and program risk.
• Drive improvements in MRP, master data, and planning systems for scalability and speed.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Program leadership to mitigate material risks.
