Job summary

Northwood is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner to lead material planning and inventory execution across production and NPI programs. You will translate demand and schedules into procurement strategies, balance inventory with production priorities, and partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sourcing, and Program Management to ensure material readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in material planning, production planning, supply chain, or inventory management.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP planning systems and experience managing material availability for complex environments.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Own material planning and inventory management for assigned product lines and ensure material availability for production, NPI, and customer demand.
• Analyze demand, inventory, supplier lead times, and production schedules to forecast material needs and manage supply commitments.
• Optimize inventory by adjusting lead times, safety stock, reorder points, and lot sizes while supporting ECOs and NPIs.
• Perform root cause analysis on shortages, discrepancies, and planning exceptions and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain ERP item master data, BOMs, supplier information, and planning parameters; develop dashboards to monitor availability and performance.
• Lead inventory optimization initiatives and mentor junior planners to scale planning practices.
