Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL seeks a Sr Software Engineer to design, implement, and test embedded software for real-time systems. You will follow the SDP and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver mission-critical software.

Applicants should be proficient in C/C++, have RTOS experience, and familiarity with BSPs, device drivers, and hardware interfaces. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance required; travel up to 5% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with programming languages such as C, C++.
• RTOS experience.
• Embedded software development including BSPs, device drivers, bootloaders.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces, bus protocols, and analog/digital signaling.
• Troubleshooting skills for tough technical challenges.
• Ability to work with multi-disciplined teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the software engineering lifecycle per SDP: requirements analysis, OO analysis & design, coding & unit testing, integration, testing/delivery.
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop software solutions to programmatic problems and document results throughout the lifecycle.
