Job summary

Agile Space Industries in Durango, CO is seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer/Architect to design and deploy scalable enterprise platforms for real-time rocket engine telemetry. You will bridge sensor streams to cloud analytics, and lead a cross‑functional team to deliver high‑throughput microservices and serverless solutions.

You will own end‑to‑end cloud infrastructure, drive IaC with Docker and Kubernetes, and mentor engineers while collaborating with propulsion and test

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with at least 5+ years as a Software Architect.
• Proven track record across diverse stacks, legacy and cloud platforms.
• Experience with real-time telemetry systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement high-throughput backend services for real-time telemetry data.
• Lead cross-functional team and modernize platforms to microservices/serverless.
• Own cloud infrastructure design using Azure and/or AWS; drive IaC.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with propulsion engineers.
• Ensure security, reliability, and observability across systems.
