Job summary

Agile Space Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering across rocket engine and thruster programs. You will translate mission needs into requirements, drive architecture, and guide verification from concept to delivery.

The role demands strong system-level thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and propulsion expertise, with onsite work in Seattle, WA or Durango, CO. Eligible for stock options as part of growth-stage signaling.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in aerospace/system development.
• Experience with propulsion or related hardware.
• Experience shaping requirements and system integration.
• Experience with gated design reviews and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Define mission objectives, CONOPS, and success criteria with customers.
• Translate needs into testable system requirements with traceability.
• Lead architecture development and trade studies across subsystems.
• Ensure cross-discipline coherence among propulsion, structures, avionics, thermal, and fluids.
• Plan and execute verification and validation activities and ATP.
• Drive early verification to requirements and lifecycle reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR).
• Identify and close technical risks, gaps, and interface issues.
• Analyze performance and suggest design/architecture changes.
• Facilitate communication among customers, teams, and suppliers.
