Job summary

Rocket Lab USA, based in Littleton, CO, seeks a Senior Proposal Manager I to craft compliant, compelling proposals for US and international customers, focusing on satellite opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with engineering, finance, and legal, and manage the full lifecycle of high-value proposals.

This role requires 5+ years in proposal management, strong technical writing, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical, management, or business discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in proposal management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Demonstrated success leading proposals with values greater than $100 million.
• Technical writing expertise, translating complex technical info into clear needs statements.
• Project management experience across multiple concurrent proposals.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve proposal objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute proposal plans, including analyzing RFPs and building compliance matrices.
• Collaborate with BD Manager/Director to craft winning proposal strategies and messages.
• Write and manage compliant, high-quality proposals addressing RFP requirements.
• Lead proposal kick-off meetings and regular check-ins with contributors.
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather and refine proposal content.
• Create and manage proposal templates, content, and visuals (charts, tables).
• Conduct QA reviews for grammar, consistency, and formatting.
• Oversee final production and submission, ensuring timely delivery.
• Document lessons learned and propose process improvements.
