Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Programs Director for the Space Payloads Operating Unit within the MNX division, based onsite in Baltimore, MD. The role leads cross-functional teams, manages program cost and schedule, and builds key customer relationships to win opportunities.

The candidate will drive strategic execution across full lifecycle programs in a high-visibility environment, ensuring profitable performance and strong stakeholder communications with executives and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of program management or related experience, or Master's with 10+ years.
• Profit & Loss experience with an integrated program team.
• Proposal leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead and collaborate in a matrix environment.
• Experience leading Space domain programs.
• US citizen with Active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Builds and leverages a strong partnership with cross-functional teams to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives in a matrix organizational environment
• Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, risk/opportunity management, identifies and resolves complex program problems
• Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning
• Cultivates a positive employee experience in a high-pressure environment by focusing on engagement, recognition, retention initiatives and professional development
• Demonstrates strong communication skills to deliver executive briefings internally and externally to customers, leaders and other program stakeholders
• Cultivates customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community
• Develops business area strategies and new business opportunities that are consistent with Division/ Sector priorities to drive consistent growth for the operating area
• Participates in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions
• Driving predictable program performance, including regular measurement and management of key performance metrics
