Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Buyer III to support day-to-day strategic purchasing across multiple departments. The role requires ensuring timely delivery of production materials, maintaining compliance with FAR/DFAR and AS9100, and driving cost-saving negotiations while coordinating supplier performance.

The successful candidate will manage RFx processes, analyze price reasonableness, and guide a small team of buyers toward continuous improvement in procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Business Admin / Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years in procurement / supply chain.
• Master's degree with 5+ years in procurement / supply chain is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and execute program requirements to meet production needs.
• Prepare and issue RFx (RFP/RFQ) and perform price reasonableness determinations.
• Lead negotiations of pricing, terms, schedule, and scope.
• Own the procurement process from requisition to invoice payment and resolve issues.
• Support the procurement organization’s strategic direction and drive supplier performance.
