Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our spacecraft payload team. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle of power electronics hardware for satellites and space power systems, from defining architectures and trade studies to PCB layout, verification, and production support.

You will mentor engineers, perform design verification, and drive advances in power electronics performance and reliability for next-generation space platforms.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or higher from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years designing analog and power electronics.
• Experience with power systems and subsystems, SWAP-C, topology selection, and power management.

Responsibilities

• Define electrical power system architecture and derive requirements.
• Design DC-DC converters and power conditioning circuits from concept to production release.
• Perform detailed analog and power electronics circuit design across single to multi-output modules.
• Model and analyze analog/power designs: WCA, stress, FMEA, reliability, power integrity.
• Develop test plans, compliance matrices, and qualification/production acceptance tests.
• Lead board bring-up and verification testing of power electronics.
