Job summary

SmithGroup in Atlanta is seeking a Senior Space Planner to lead research-driven planning solutions for higher education and institutional clients.

You will manage complex projects, collaborate with analysts, and deliver cohesive presentations and reports. A background in architecture or related fields, with 10+ years of experience, is preferred, along with expertise in Tableau, Power BI, and Archibus.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Data Science or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years related experience preferred.
• Experience with higher education planning, space management, and/or institutional research.
• Proficient understanding of space types and planning practices in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and data analysis to develop planning solutions and recommendations.
• Manage project scopes, fees, contracts, deliverables and quality across large planning projects.
• Collaborate with data analysts to create space models and run analyses for clients.
• Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
• Lead production of project presentations, reports and deliverables for integrated outcomes.
• Develop and manage client relationships and align expectations with contracts.
