Job summary

SmithGroup’s Denver office seeks a Senior Space Planner to lead research-driven planning solutions for healthcare, science/tech, education and urban environments. You will manage complex projects, develop space models with data analysts, and present findings to clients and teams.

An ideal candidate holds a professional degree in relevant fields and 10+ years of experience, with strong data visualization skills and proficiency in Tableau, Power BI and Archibus.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Data Science or related fields.
• 10+ years related experience preferred.
• Experience with higher education planning, space management, and/or institutional research.
• Knowledge of data-based information and analytics; familiarity with data visualization software is preferred.
• Demonstrated thought leadership through publications and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Lead in research, analysis, and distillation of data to develop planning solutions and recommendations.
• Manage project scopes and fees, oversee deliverables and quality, and fee management.
• Work with data analysts to create space models and analyses for clients.
• Participate in and lead presentations with colleagues, consultants, and clients.
• Lead production of project presentations, reports and deliverables for cohesive outcomes.
