Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced Special Operations Planner Team Lead to join the USSPACECOM headquarters at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. You will lead a team of planners supporting high-priority operations, interface with government leadership, and own the quality and delivery of planning products.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of operational planning in DoD/cleared environments, plus experience with STO/SAP integrations, joint planning, and a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 15+ years of operational planning experience in special operations, joint, or Combatant Command HQ.
• 3+ years of supervisory or team-lead experience managing planners/analysts in cleared environments.
• Proven ability to lead planning teams through JPP with CONOPs, COAs, and orders to senior leadership.
• Direct experience integrating STO/SAP into operational plans at the combatant command level.
• Strong written and verbal communication with government customers; ability to manage priorities under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with classified systems and environments (SIPRNet/JWICS); active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Special Operations Planners embedded with USSPACECOM.
• Direct development of operational/strategic products across the Joint Planning Process.
• Coordinate integration of STO and SAP capabilities into plans and CONPLANS.
• Interface with COR and government leadership on performance, staffing, and priorities.
• Deliver decision-ready products, briefings, and staff packages for SES-level audiences.
