Job summary

QinetiQ US in California is seeking an experienced Special Operations Planner Team Lead to serve as the senior contractor lead embedded within U.S. Space Forces (S4S) at Vandenberg Space Force Base.

You will direct a team of planners supporting USSPACECOM’s sensitive operational planning requirements and own the quality and delivery of all planning products. The ideal candidate has extensive operational planning background, hands-on experience with JPP processes, and a proven track record in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 15+ years of operational planning experience.
• 3+ years supervisory or team lead experience.
• Proven experience delivering CONOPs, COAs, and operational orders.
• Direct experience planning or integrating STO or SAP into operational plans at the combatant command level.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with classified systems including SIPRNet and JWICS.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior contractor point of contact for planning support activities with COR and government leadership.
• Lead and mentor a team of Special Operations Planners and manage workload and deliverables.
• Direct development of operational and strategic planning products across JPP, including CONOPs, COAs, and OPLANs.
• Guide integration of STO and SAP capabilities into USSPACECOM plans and CONPLANs.
• Coordinate across directorates, interagency partners, and allied nations on planning activities.
• Ensure high-quality, decision-ready products and timely contract deliverables.
