Job summary

Waypoint's client seeks an experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support USSF NSTTC initiatives, developing and maintaining authoritative system models for requirements, design, and integration across classification levels.

The role requires applying SysML and UAF, working with multidisciplinary teams on complex space systems, ensuring rigorous documentation and adherence to security and program goals.

Qualifications

• Must have active DoD Top Secret/SCI-eligible clearance.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree or Bachelor's in a related technical field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated MBSE experience applying MBSE methodologies.
• Experience with MBSE tools: Cameo/MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, or comparable platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system models using MBSE tools and methodologies.
• Apply SysML and UAF to support requirements, design, and use-case definitions.
• Develop multiple NSTTC enterprise architecture instantiations across classification levels.
• Create data architectures and models to enable system interoperability.
• Implement, maintain, and manage complex system architectures within MBSE.
• Support integration plans, procedures, and testing scenarios for software/hardware.
• Analyze integration results and impacts on architecture, requirements, and performance.
• Contribute to engineering studies and risk identification/mitigation.
• Prepare and maintain requirements, architecture products, and technical docs.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and teams.
