Job summary

Arcfield is seeking an experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support strategic technology and national security space programs in Chantilly, VA.

The role focuses on applying MBSE, digital engineering, and system-of-systems approaches to model architecture, perform trade studies, and develop acquisition-focused engineering products for portfolio decision making. A TS/SCI clearance is required to work with government partners and multi-domain teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering, MBSE, or digital engineering in gov/space contexts.
• Experience applying MBSE across lifecycle: requirements, CONOPS, architecture, integration, verification, validation.
• Proficiency with MBSE frameworks and tools: SysML, UAF, Cameo, MagicDraw or similar.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Model-Based Systems Engineering across lifecycle of complex space systems.
• Develop digital models and architectures for acquisition activities and decision support.
• Conduct trade studies, feasibility analyses and predictive simulations.
• Translate mission needs into technical acquisition strategies and metrics.
• Collaborate with government leadership and cross-functional teams to align products with objectives.
