Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a seasoned manufacturing/operations professional to join the JARVIS Team on the Merritt Island facility in Florida. You will analyze drawings, plan fabrication, and coordinate multidisciplinary activities across welding, machining, assembly, and testing of large tooling and launch infrastructure.

The role emphasizes strong communication, planning, and project management skills, with exposure to MRPs, MES and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Must have 20+ years in maintenance, machining, welding, waterjet or related fields.
• Experience planning/scheduling activities.
• Experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP).
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent MS Office skills; MES experience desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of LEAN/Six Sigma/Kaizen concepts.
• Detail-oriented with solid record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex drawings to determine build plan and manufacturability across welding, machining, and assembly.
• Coordinate materials/services to meet customer requirements.
• Perform shop order release/closure in MRP system and reconcile parts.
• Multitask across simultaneous builds and provide status updates.
• Prepare work orders and tickets for subassemblies and tooling tasks.
• Coordinate with warehouse, quality, purchasing, engineering, and logistics.
• Serve as primary customer contact for status and changes.
• Collaborate with welders, machinists, metrology and assembly to keep schedules.
• Support expediting material shortages with procurement and production.
• Maintain smooth flow of jobs through production line.
