Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Production Support Specialist for its JARVIS team on Merritt Island. This boots-on-the-ground role supports inventory control, tooling, and material handling across the production line in a manufacturing and development setting for spaceflight programs.

You will collaborate with leadership, ensure safe, efficient operations, and participate in cycle counts, audits, and Lean improvements while upholding 5S and safety standards on a spaceflight program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent vocational certification.
• 2+ years in inventory control, tool crib, or material handling; or 2+ years admin experience.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts.
• Forklift operation with safe driving.
• Able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to build trust and foster inclusion.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Wears PPE as required.
• Flexible with shifts, overtime, weekends, and occasional travel.
• DBIDS background check; role on a military installation.
• US citizen, national, permanent resident, or eligible immigrant.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership on team initiatives including events and functions.
• Requisition, receive, store, and issue inventory and tooling.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas per 5S and policies.
• Collaborate with others, accept direction, and drive process improvements.
• Monitor production flow and coordinate with Production Control to meet schedules.
• Advise cross-functional teams to expedite material shortages.
• Assist in scrap processing and cycle counts, site audits.
• Identify delays and report to Operations Supervisors and Managers.
• Operate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, lift tables) safely.
• Help implement robust materials management (purchasing, storage, distribution).
• Enforce safe material handling practices.
