Job summary

Space Systems Integration LLC is seeking an ISR Principal Modeling/Simulation Engineer in Chantilly, VA to lead space-based ISR model development and analysis. You will build simulations with AFSIM, STK, SOAP, and develop scripts in VB/Python/MATLAB while coordinating with SWAC and MDSP teams.

The role requires advanced space-system modeling experience, the ability to operate in a classified environment, and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Travel about 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with nine+ years of relevant experience or Master's with seven+ years or PhD/JD with four+ years.
• Experience developing space system models and simulations with STK, SOAP, AFSIM, or NGTS.
• Proficiency in VB, Python, and/or MATLAB for scripting and interface development.
• Deep understanding of space-based ISR systems across DoD and IC partners.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop target (missile) simulations and trajectory files using M&S tools (AFSIM, STK, SOAP).
• Create modeling/analysis scripts in Visual Basic, Python, and MATLAB.
• Integrate space-based ISR capabilities with force design studies and SWAC programs.
• Coordinate internal and external M&S efforts and document findings.
• Support cross‑functional planning and execution across agencies.
