Job summary

E-Space is seeking a Senior Guidance, Navigation, and Controls Engineer to design and validate attitude estimation and control for satellites. You will build, tune, and verify GNC systems and integrate them into flight software using modern development practices.

The role requires strong expertise in Kalman filtering, C/C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, and 6-DOF simulation tools, with hands‑on experience in model‑based verification and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing. Based at our US office.

Qualifications

• BS + 6 years / MS + 4 years / PhD + 2 years in Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven experience owning the design and deployment of advanced control algorithms in safety‑critical applications such as aerospace or ground vehicles.
• Experience with estimation algorithms and Kalman filters for attitude determination or similar applications.
• Experience developing and tuning GNC models of actuators, sensors, and environment.
• Model‑based validation from simulations to hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, tune, and test satellite attitude estimation and control algorithms.
• Develop, maintain, and expand high‑fidelity 6‑DOF GNC simulation tools.
• Define and run model/software‑in‑the‑loop and Monte Carlo campaigns; build data processing tools.
• Collaborate in GNC software integration into real‑time flight software; support hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• Apply rigorous software development and configuration management practices; leverage AI‑assisted workflows.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide GNC domain expertise and support operations.
• Produce clear, detailed technical documentation and test reports.
