Job summary

Nguyening Strategies Group in Hawthorne, CA, is seeking a Senior Engineering leader to own GNC software, vehicle dynamics, and overall flight control architecture. You will develop a 6-DOF simulation, guide ADCS decisions, and validate hardware with HITL testing.

You must demonstrate prior ownership of functioning controllers or sim environments, and be comfortable solving challenging orbital rendezvous and control problems in a fast-paced startup setting.

Qualifications

• Proven ownership of functioning vehicle controllers or sims.
• Experience designing/simulating/validating GNC systems for real vehicles.
• Hands-on implementation of attitude control/estimation algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve a 6-DOF simulation for attitude and orbital performance.
• Design and implement attitude control algorithms for spacecraft hardware.
• Verify and validate GNC software with HW-in-the-loop testing.
• Analyze trajectories, constellation designs, and mission-level tradeoffs.
