Job summary

Astro Digital in Littleton, Colorado seeks an experienced Senior Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer to own spacecraft GNC analysis, high-fidelity simulation, and system-level evaluation. You will shape flight software in C++ and Python, supporting a range of missions from earth observation to in-space demonstrations.

Key requirements include 5+ years in GNC analysis, Kalman filtering, and strong modeling skills.

Qualifications

• U.S. person status required (citizen or permanent resident).
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on spacecraft GNC analysis and simulation.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Build high-fidelity models and simulations of spacecraft GNC systems.
• Conduct Monte Carlo analyses, covariance studies, and performance assessments.
• Create and evolve simulation and analysis tools for mission design and flight software.
• Analyze sensor and actuator performance (star trackers, IMUs, reaction wheels, GNSS).
• Write and refine C++ flight software GNC components and configuration.
• Support verification and validation via unit testing and HIL simulations.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, mission design, and flight software teams.
• Document analysis results, software interfaces, and validation procedures.
