Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation invites a Senior Cyber Engineer to join the Enterprise Mission Infrastructure and Platform team. You will provide matrixed technical and programmatic leadership across Space Force programs, ensuring cybersecurity requirements, accreditation, and risk management across multiple offices.

The role emphasizes security objectives, verification methods, and cybersecurity-informed decisions for mission-critical systems, with on-site work in CO or CA and frequent collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field.
• 10+ years of system security experience across domains.
• DoD 8140 certifications.
• Experience leading cybersecurity teams.
• Experience defining threat/vulnerability likelihood and risk.
• Willing to travel ~20% of the time.
• Requires TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity systems engineering support for government and contractors.
• Engineer, implement and monitor security measures across SDLC.
• Review and design security architecture for next-gen space missions.
• Identify and define system security requirements and detailed cybersecurity designs.
• Recommend mitigation strategies for cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
• Participate in risk management and ensure effective mitigations.
• Provide cybersecurity expertise for critical decisions and posture assessments.
• Review cybersecurity test procedures and participate in test readiness reviews.
