Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Cyber Mission Engineer to work onsite at Buckley SFB, CO. Lead cybersecurity architecture, define system security requirements, and support mission-critical decisions with a cybersecurity-informed perspective.

You will coordinate with government and prime contractors, review test procedures, and ensure compliance with security directives while maintaining a TS/SCI clearance. Travel up to ~30% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or information security/technology, computer science, systems engineering, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 12+ years of system security experience across multiple cybersecurity domains with a track record of delivering mission-critical security solutions.
• Experience leading cybersecurity teams and programs with the ability to analyze complex problems under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cybersecurity systems engineering support to government and contracted personnel.
• Support cyber engineering, design, implement, and monitor protection of systems throughout the SDLC.
• Review and design security architecture for ground systems and recommend improvements.
• Identify and define system security requirements and develop cybersecurity designs.
• Suggest strategies to mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities in ground/space systems.
• Participate in program protection and risk management to ensure effective mitigations.
