Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Cyber Engineer to lead cybersecurity and systems engineering efforts across multiple Space Force programs. You will define security objectives, develop requirements, and support accreditation activities across diverse mission areas.

The role emphasizes risk management, threat mitigation, and cybersecurity readiness within a high-stakes environment. On-site positions are available in Colorado Springs, CO or El Segundo, CA, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or Information Security/Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 10+ years of system security experience across multiple cybersecurity domains.
• DoD 8140-compliant cybersecurity certifications.
• Experience leading cybersecurity teams and programs.
• Willing to travel ~20% and to obtain TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity systems engineering support across architecture, configuration management, and security assessments.
• Engineer and monitor security measures for cyberspace systems throughout the development lifecycle.
• Review and design security architecture for next generation space missions and recommend improvements.
• Identify and define system security requirements and develop cybersecurity designs aligned with mission objectives.
• Assess risks and coordinate mitigations in line with security directives.
• Provide cybersecurity expertise during critical decision points and participate in TRR activities.
