Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer - Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing Architecture to lead enterprise-wide security architecture efforts and manage cross-functional teams.

The role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity for space systems, and the ability to communicate security strategies to senior leaders. Applicants should have 12+ years in systems security engineering, TS/SCI clearance preferred, and willingness to travel domestically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or similar technical area of study.
• 8+ years of increasing responsible experience in system security engineering.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams and security initiatives.
• Willing to travel domestically on occasion (approx. <10%).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Lead customer tasking for enterprise-wide security architecture concepts through the SDLC.
• Define security policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Communicate security strategies to senior leadership.
• Apply systems security engineering principles to assess threats and risks.
• Translate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
