Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced engineer to develop models and algorithms for the TeraWave Custom Silicon, shaping packet processing, MAC, PHY, and DSP. You will optimize for power and performance, targeting FPGA and ASIC implementation, and support pre- and post-silicon validation with cross-functional teams across ASIC, RFIC, and software.

The role requires deep knowledge of DSP, OFDM, QAM, and related modulation schemes, with 7+ years in signal processing or modem design, plus a relevant

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Signal processing or Modem design and development
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Experience with networking, modem MAC and PHY, DSP, RF and/or Mixed Signal designs
• Experience with MATLAB, SystemC, C/C++ or other System level tools
• Knowledge of DSP and communications systems including spread spectrum, forward error correction, and modulation types (OFDM, QPSK, QAM, PCM/FM, PAM)

Responsibilities

• Develop models and algorithm for the TeraWave Custom Silicon, including packet processing, MAC, PHY, Radio DSP
• Drive for lowest power consumption and highest performance
• Target algorithms for FPGA and ASIC implementation
• Support the ASIC implementation through Pre-silicon verification
• Design advanced digital end-to-end communication systems
• Develop and model channel impairments models
• Work collaboratively with ASIC, RFIC and SW implementation teams
• Bring up prototype pre-silicon and support post-silicon validation
