Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the Bay Area, San Diego, Austin, or Kent seeks a Sr. Comsys and DSP Architect to develop models for the TeraWave Custom Silicon, including packet processing, MAC/PHY, and DSP algorithms.

You will optimize power and performance for FPGA and ASIC implementations, support pre-silicon verification, and work with ASIC, RFIC and SW teams to validate architecture across sites. The role also involves modeling channel impairments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in signal processing or modem design and development.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Experience with networking, modem MAC and PHY, DSP, RF and/or mixed-signal designs.
Experience with MATLAB, SystemC, C/C++ or other System level tools.
Knowledge of DSP and communications systems including spread spectrum, forward error correction, and modulation types (OFDM, QPSK, QAM).

Responsibilities

Develop models and algorithms for the TeraWave Custom Silicon, including packet processing, MAC and PHY.
Drive for lowest power consumption and highest performance.
Target algorithms for FPGA and ASIC implementation and support pre-silicon verification.
Design advanced Digital end-to-end communication systems and model channel impairments.
Collaborate with ASIC, RFIC and SW implementation teams and assist in prototype bring-up.
